The Challenge Of A PK-8 School


One of the major challenges of Albany’s current grade configuration is the existence of just one PK-8 school – the North Albany Academy. The original principles that led to creation of the school are as sound today as they were when it was implemented, but the school has struggled to meet the ideal for various reasons that were unforeseen at the time. Principal Lesley Buff has worked tirelessly to make the school work and to ensure its viability well into the future. In this video, she discusses the challenges the District and the community face as they do the work together.
